Tank! -- The opening theme to COWBOY BEBOP, an incredible instrumental jazz piece utilizing the big band. Performed by SEATBELTS, the group that does a lot of the jazz/big-band BGM from the show. Tank Also features some excellent horns. If you like lively jazz, you'll like this. Even If you've Not seen the show. Yoko Kanno, known for the scores to Many great anime Shows.

mister gary at work again says Hell yes. While I haven't always been a fan of all of the series she's scored (at least, not on the level of my love for Cowboy Bebop), most of the Yoko Kanno/Seatbelts stuff I've heard is knockout. I've got all the original Bebop soundtrack discs - still waiting for the day I can pick up the four-disc box set with the live Seatbelts set and remixes from the original soundtracks.

zoraxx says Oh yes, I Know Exactly What you mean About Yoko Kanno, She's One Talented Musician. I Don't Know If You watch Much Anime, But Her Work On Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Wolf's Rain And a Few More Are All Just Fantastic. i Thought Their Was A Bebop Remix already.
