i couldn't disagree more. i think jennifer saunders' indifference makes for an effective impression of michelle phillips. not that michelle was apathetic & all, but she was obviously more restrained & less energetic than cass elliot while boppin & dancin. as an ensemble, i think french & saunders & crew were spot on.
