_it's impossible to say that mexico has the most beautiful women in the world…with all due respect...they_ know _it! they have moustaches. they're ugly._bq. --tiziano ferroback in may 2006 when the italian singer tiziano ferro brewed a firestorm, it seemed to me that the media (especially entertainment news programmin like _la oreja_ & _con todo_) jockied public opinion against him. now, i'm not here to justify ferro's comments. i'm here to expose the unspoken bias of mexican television. the state of mexican TV smacks of racism.the ethnic group most inclined to _have_ facial hair is the mestiza (indigenous + european white [think frida kahlo]). but the group most offended by & infuriated with ferro's comments is the european white. exhibit A, the cast of the much celebrated juvenile soap opera _rebelde_:so why isn't the mestiza up in arms? probably because she doesn't have a voice. there is no mixed race alumna @ the elite way school in _rebelde_. & there are very few mixed race news anchorwomen & TV show hostesses.what troubles me most is that ferro is _still_ apologizin 6 months later. i say he sweep the enitre incident under the rug just like the mexican media sweeps racism under their bullshit-stained _sarape_.

I must say that I did not feel bad about his comment, I`m so mexican just look at my pic and I don`t have mustache or a lot of hair u know? but Mexico is the only country that accepts any kind of crapy (did I spell it right?))music that's what bothered me cause you can't say anything wrong about women in a country that are making u rich.
And u can`t think that we all are like Frida cause she let her hair face as part of her personality and thoughts eventhough I admire her so much and I think she's beautiful
One more thing, Rebelde is so out of reality u should not mention it.

actually, chefs addiction, that's _exactly_ what i'm tryin to convey. mexican TV, in general (not just _rebelde_), is outta touch with reality. there is a disproportionate number of whites in leadin roles. where're the indigenous mexicans? reduced to playin servants & other comical (operative word, here) roles (think la india maría). i am, by no means, sayin mexican ladies are all like frida kahlo. i am sayin that there is a predisposition in that particular physiotype to facial hair...& THEY're not sayin anythin! no creas que soy gringo hablando incoherencias. este es el estado del la televisión mexicana.
