That's a line, or rather part of the chorus from Velvet Roof by Buffalo Tom, another 90s band that deserved better than they got. Really, that's what all my posts are about. Those of you listening with fresh ears will probably not hear anything remarkable, but their brand of melodic, guitar driven rock with personal lyrics was new and interesting at the time... FWIW, I understand that John Stewart is a big fan of theirs. I was never that into them, but I loved and like this song.
*Update: I watched the video, which I've never seen before, and I can't recommend it. Nothing wrong with it, but not in keeping with the spirit of the song, IMO. YMMV. I appended the MP3 to the post, just in case you want the video-free experience =>)
