WHERE THE HOKEY POKEY "IS" WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT

GMO.

Posted 9 months ago

I'm late...I apologize. A life busy for all the wrong reasons.

Internet connections gone bad....connectors/wires hidden in plain sight and add post buttons gone.

But i would never assume these excuses are anything of importance or value for the missing things i should have said a month ago.

I have the best music in my hands via my Secret Santa.

Mogger Goodmusiconly....Erin.....she has my ears now.

The discs...One pink one blue.

I don't know what to say....I've never in all my days had someone give me music like this. I don't know what to say.... I don't know what to say...

(did i say i don't know what to say? well... i mean it!)

You can't imagine what she's done.

Just for the record no one has ever put me so far back in "i know nothing about music" as this woman has.

How is it possible she could ace every song selection???

I've found the end of the rainbow...it's right here in these songs sent.

Have a look for yourself.

(hey if i can read them...oh i bet you're gonna make me type aren't you?)

Believe in GMO!

I have no stand out track to rave about...they're all ten out of tens.

Here's the opener.... Experimental Aircraft...Upper Eastside.

I ran out of volume when i pressed play...see if the same holds true for you. Take it to that edge and then just back a bit.

To Erin...it'll take these discs and run with them!

Love to you for this.

Isn't getting a mix tape exciting?  Okay it's mix CD - it's a habit that is still hard to kick.  Cool set of artists and songs.  I received two mixes in my entire life from someone so it's good to see you've joined the club.

Yeah i've been stark raving since i got these TM.

It's funny you said that cause ya know what?

This is the second mix tape/CD i've gotten in my entire life.

First was a tape. I still have it.

    Not compare but....

oh forget that! These CD's blew the first mixtape outta the water!

Have we been deprived all this time?

I'm stickin' a yes on that one!

So good to hear from you!

I've been carrying these CD's with me whever i go.

The printshop will be filled with the sounds from Erin again today as i'm off for another day of work shortly.

I know, I've tried everything (scotch tape being the least glamorous one), but I think I'll have to go see a professional. Stitch me head up, doc!

A-ha! We finally get a clue of what you do for a living! Plot thickens...

Have a lovely day at work :)

Sweet, there's a whole crew of converts at the print shop, woo eee! (this makes me happy — y'all are my kind of people after all). Kind words, Mr. G, and believe that the pleasure is mine ... we EMCD'ers (Anna, Dale, etc) can't function in this world without spreading the music crackola (you're a dealer of the good stuff yourself, you know). It's just nice to have some darn fine ears to have it fall upon. Hope things are lightening up at work ... keep rockin' and rollin my friend. Cheers, and love right back to you! :)

Anna it's more like "the plot sickens" haha...(kinda boring vocation is what i'm saying...that and not a day goes by without nearly going mad over the sheer demand it lays on your existence. Ugh. i shoulda been a contender for something else!)

Dale....are you the leader of this ECMD posse? (although i've been here on Mog for just over a year i'm still a wee bit slow)

I must thank you kind sir for stopping by here...the "excellent taste" group you are an all too obvious member of.

(I'm still trying to find this one group you laid on someone's doorstep in a comment...mind boggling goodness it was but i lost my bookmark on it. A female drummer in the group?) Don't worry over it Dale i'll find it again!

Sweet it is Erin! Happy people all over the frozen tundra because of you!

I can't find myself functioning well at all without this damn Mogisphere now. (It's been a year already? well... good for my soul!)

You and the rest of 'em are just music pushers of the best kind.

    Thank you.....

    Starts humming......

oh, he breaks out the VU! see? see?!

About Dale and the female drummer comment — was it The Black Angels, perchance? Ear-blistering droney goodness? maybe ... hmmmm ... the wormhole is deep...

A belated Happy Mogniversary to you, Greg. I have to say, all music-talk aside, moggers are some of the greatest people I've had the good fortune of getting to know online and in 3-D ... it really has been good for the soul ... Here's to another year and beyond!

I've been lovin' that Velvet song since the day it hit my brain..(good grief what year was that??)

Black Angels....maybe.. but i have only one record of their's and it's "Passover"

I got it after i saw a video of their's posted on Wedge of Los Trendy's MySpace page. (my mom forced me to get it after seeing Sniper at the Gates of Heaven...isn't she the coolest?)

Oh my god i think you're right!

And now my brain hurts cause where did they get their name from in the first place!

Right under my nose Erin and i didn't see it!

Yeah Erin you're right about the greatest people online being in these parts.

I'm just happy they've put up with me for this long.

    Here's to that!
