What is Buckethead's original name? He sounds so similar to Jim Thomas, the lead guitarist for the instrumental trio the Mermen. Both acts have an impeccable intuition for melody, pattern, music at the deep core of beauty.

Buckethead is in reality Brian Carroll. I'm not sure of the spelling though. He is about 6'8" and uses oversize guitars.. Spike, you use the English so well it's a pleasure to read your posts.

Allmusic.com says he has many CDs and has collaborated with many different musicians, which makes it sound as if much of his music might sound quite different from this and might be more difficult.  Which of your CDs by him would you recommend if I like the particular sound of this video?
