Songs like THIS:

A "hook" sticks in your brain and won't come out. Yotochan, I really liked that first song by Collective Soul (another band...sigh...I've never heard..I have GOTTA get out more). And, yes, at around the 0:46 mark, when they hit that first chorus, you (or they) were reelin' me in.

So, can anyone else (Mr. Bones perhaps?) come up with another song with a strong hook?

Three things about it pull me toward it like hooks: the lead guitar in the background during the chorus, the bluesy bass riff between verses, and the lead singer's voice. God knows if even the video maker knows what it all means.

Ed Rowland is the lead singer. Writes both the music and lyrics. He's a graduate of the Berkeley School of Music in Boston. I've heard.
