Bird just flies. (I know even less about Jazz, since there hasn't been a commercial Jazz radio station broadcasting here since the 1980's.) Charlie Parker sounds like the postwar movies bursting off the movie screen in "Cinema Paradiso." As for Louis Armstrong, I remember CBS' "Frank's Place" and the "Do You Know What It Means to Miss New Orleans" theme song.
