This recording never gets old and Bob Tench's vocal is captivating, sends me back, sad to say way back.

    Beck's guitar imagination is in full force here, though if the pianist's right hand had been an octave to the left, and the drummer had forsaken his cymbals, i could have grokked Beck better.

    Nice to see a new post from you, Yoto! This was a great listen for me, as I've never been big on Brit Invasion stuff and thereby missed many of Jeff Beck's contributions...which is too bad. This track kicks.

    And Spike, you leave that piano player alone – you're not the boss of his right hand! He's playing right where he should be for this tune.

    mousetrap, I should have added that, according to my notations, that was my favorite track on that album.  We all have different ears.  Perhaps if technology were to someday allow us to hear it with only the piano lowered an octave, I might end up agreeing with you
