i'd just like to say that i love your soulful, deep, almost-black-man voice for a white boy. it makes me shake my booty while baking bread. i guess this would be a good time for a "buns" joke.

i'm too funny for my own good sometimes. oh, sorry marc. i was rambling about me. anyways, when i listen to "home" i feel like i'm cruising down through a swamp in a riverboat, while drinking sweet tea.

and that makes me happy.

remember your first concert?

remember your first concert? some people do, some people don't. some people remember everything about the experience. the seats, the outfits, the age, the family.

as nerdy as it sounds, i am so excited. my little cousin, who is 8 years old, has never been to a "professional" concert. and i, being the cool older cousin, will be taking her to her first this saturday. i'm not saying who it is, but all i can think about is in 10 years or so, someone will ask her who she saw in her first concert, and she will say. and even if she's embarassed, years to come, i get to be a part of that moment.

i can't say how much that means to me. i love sharing that feeling with other people. this, folks, is why i'm going to be a music supervisor for a television show. you watch.

i'm hearing some mixed reviews on brand new, at least from my friends. critics seem to be pleased. not that it matters. i happen to like the newer sound. i like that they took sections from the demos that leaked, and remixed them and reshaped them. i'm a fan of that.

but what else would you expect? really. c'mon now.
