Lots of things have changed in the last two weeks for me, for good and bad. First bad, well kinda bad. I broke up with my girlfriend of over 4 years. I just dunno..it didn't feel right anymore and I just didnt want to hurt her if I carried on pretending so hmm I think am gettin over it really, I knew it was coming so maybe i was more prepared then her. On to the good....I passed my driving test which is such a big weight off my mind! Am really proud of myself now so hopefully I can get a car sorted and i'll be free. Also I've got hold of a few good albums this week. The new Lifetime album is amazing, favourite of the year so far but also Fall Out Boy, Bloc Party, Comeback Kid, Anberlin are all very good albums!
The Faversham isnt a place, if you drive by to be a pub/club/gig venue at all! Inside it is alright only complate is that the stage isn't high off the floor if you get me, if you have taller people standing in front of you...well your buggered if you wanna see owt! Also it isn't the easist of places to get to..luckly enough we had a sat nav and only got lost looking for a cash machine! Right the bands.....
Slow Club [5/10] Didn't really see them due to the fact I was read Sandman and drinking strongbow. They sounded ok from where was I, very simular to a not as cheery mates of states kinda band. They did have cool look cds wrapped up like parcels for sale!
Dartz! [9/10] The main event for me really. Matt has been raving on about Dartz! for god knows and he wasn't wrong. They played prefect full of life and energy to say they have just come up from playing a gig in London that afternoon! I dont think Dartz! put a musical foot wrong only the stage letting them down. They played all the classic and after a slow start the crowd got more and more involved climaxing in the sing along that is "Teaching me to Dance"...Dartz! is good for your brain indeed!
Hot Club De Paris [8/10] I had only seen the video for "Shipwreck" and heard a couple of other songs by Hot Club but when they did the welcome to the hot club de paris show skit i knew i was going to enjoy them and i was right. I thought HCDP are going to be massive in 2007 they are simular to the indie bands coming out now but unique in their own way. With song titles like "Sometimesitsbetternottostickbitsofeachotherineachotherforeachother" There is something infectous about this band and its music that will have you singing along and trapping your feet to every song!
