i downloaded this album today, and it pretty much blew me away! Now THIS is the side of the Chili Peppers i really like! if you like some hardcore funk music, then this cd is for you! in my opinion it's the best Chili Peppers CD

yo - I totally agree! This was their last truly great record, before all the songs started to sound like the same one over and over again. In fact, the newest one is the first RHCP album I have thought is decent since that one. Enjoy! BTW, are you familiar with Fishbone's The Reality of My Surroundings? Wow....

Wow, BSSM.....haven't listened to that in ages. Mother's Milk, is, I think a little better, if only because it's tighter. Magik is a LOT of music but it's great. Now I need to dig that one out.....

In my opinion, Blood Sugar Sex Magik is the Chili Peppers. That's the first album of theirs I listened to (way back when) and that's why I can't stomach any of their new stuff.

definately my favorite chili peppers album as well. their newer albums have nothing against that one. i mean, i like their newer stuff okay (like the first 50 times i heard dani california), but its sound is so plain compared to how unique it was when they were putting out albums like BSSM.
