All right.......it's has been crazy busy. Stupid. Moronic. I am jacked up on adrenaline now. I feel that like I've done a wheel barrel follow of coke. Not that I know from experience. Anyway. It's been a while. We'll get into to why later. I wanted to make this post some time ago. It's been gnawing at the back of my virtual skull for a while. So a bunch of us were offered passes to the Shine A Light movie at a Imax before it came out. First off I , for the most part, like the Stones. I like most of their stuff for different reasons. You can pretty much forget anything past 1989. BUT They still put on a great show. Albeit overpriced but still good. Martin Scorsese has struck gold with me almost every time. Sometimes silver. So I had my hopes up. To cut to the chase. As a Rolling Stones Movie C+ to B- As a Scorsese movie D- he basically showed up.

The Imax feature had no affect on me. Great I get to see Jaggers and Richards wrinkles in high definition.

The song selection was okay. The in between banter was nice. Charlie Watts stole the movie. Hilarious, bitter and on beat every time. Jagger seemed liked everything you'd expect. The in between discussions of Ron Wood and Jagger together was classic.

But in the end it seemed like a swan song for Richards. Maybe he won't be around much longer. Maybe this is his last foray into stardom. Hence why they focused on him quite a bit. And maybe that is the only hint Martin's craft.

Then the end comes. And ....it seemed like a Hillary Clinton campaign contribution write off. It kind of pissed me off. In the beginning it is revealed that it is a party for Bill Clinton. Which I forgot about. Luckily. But the corny ending. Uggh.

Honestly don't bother. If you are über Stones fan then you've already seen it and love it. If you are a Clinton supporter yo may be a new fan of the Stones. If you are expecting cinematic genius go see The Band film The Last Waltz. That is excellent.

Why this song? They'll never play it. And it is awesome.
