I am über geeked about the impending implosion in NYC starting on Saturday October 11th and ending the following day.
Killing Joke. But not your Killing Joke of the last 20 years. We are talking all original members. Which is huge. And catastrophic.
To camemorate this auspicious event I have agreed to wear a different Killing Joke t-shirt until the first day of the event.
So what does this tell you about me?
1. I am a fan boy. And as such fan boys should "fuck off".
2. I have that many t-shirts. Forget the amount of Killing Joke t-shirts. As a whole I have 2 drawers crammed. 3 Rubbermaid bins. 1 Air Force issued footlocker. 1 laundry basket filled with t-shirts that date back to my youth (When you buy large and x-large as a kid you can keep them longer).
3. I am that fucking excited to see this.
I drove by a mini-van on the side of the highway the other day engulfed in flames and I just kept rolling on by with a humungo shit eating grin BLASTING s/t 2003 album. And ironically/coincidentally the song Death and Resurrection Show was on. You have the title of the song but more importantly there is a line that talks about burn burn..burn brightly.

This is the first Killing Joke t-shirt I ever owned. Bought in the early 90s in Chicago at the Alley. I was on a kick again because of the recent release of Extremities, Dirt and Various Repressed Emotions. I wouldn't be surprised if Atkins had something to do with the printing of this actual shirt. Anyway. This shirt has gotten pretty thin over the years. It is probably my least favorite now because it is a poor design/print. But back then this was the only shirt you could find. There was no eBay. Their popularity was drifting and they were in a state of inactivity.
