Catching Up With the Sickness

So two weeks ago I was laid off...again. On that day I was planning on doing a in-depth (ad nauseam) review of the latest (and likely last) four remastered Killing Joke releases that came out the same day.Later that week I was nursing a decent hangover. trying to scramble to find work and then I get sick. Nothing related to booze. Fever, delirious and a bunch of other stuff. It took me almost a week to get over it. During that time I was feeling like how the Legendary Pink Dots sound.Swirling, confusing, beautiful, subtle, expansive, manic, desperate and relief.The Legendary Pink Dots have bee around since the early 80s. They've had countless members and have released a ton of stuff. Even more nowadays with the advent of CD burning technology and the internet. They are a bit like the Grateful Dead of alternative world. A bit like the Residents but more atmospheric. A touch of jazz but more focused. A bit psychedelic but less rock. They seem to tour regularly throughout the world and they always perform fantastically. Close your eyes. Feel your fever rising. Feel the vibrations in the back of your eyes. Ears ring in harmony, body pulses and throbs.You open your eyes. The music is over. The world is still the same. But you went on a journey. Albeit brief.
