MOG MOG

BECAUSE THE WEB MOSTLY SUCKS

Artist:
Track: Fairytale Of New York - (with Kirsty MacColl)
(16)

So yesterday was hectic. Crazy. Busy. Worked hard. Got out of work had to do more work. Had to drop off some printing material at a local studio, see my love and then go to a show.

Chuck Ragan (of Hot Water Music) and Ben Nichols (of Lucero) playing acoustically. But more of that in another post.

Between work and rushing to the studio Fairytale Of New York by the Pogues came on the radio. Not only a great song but a great band. But I placed this song as a bit of relevance recently. I'll be going to NYC to visit my mother, see a show and have fun with my love.

So listening to the lyrics I started to come up with a story of how the two of us are living the opposite of Shane and Kirsty. It's pretty cool. Dreams are blooming. Nights growing. Imagination expanding to the deepest regions of space. And in Detroit. How odd is that?

Crime is up. The city is in financial ruins and despair is everywhere. But dreams are bright and beautiful.
