The Helio Sequence

The Helio Sequence. A brilliant band from Portland. If you havent listened to them yet, I would give them an ear so you can see what magic is like. I saw them live the other night at a local college for free. I felt pretty cool cause I was going to a college partyish thing, but I also felt cool cause I was going to be in the presence of some music gods. Ben Weikel, who was the drummer for Modest Mouse when they did Good News, goes absolutely crazy when he plays...the faces he makes were priceless. Then Brandon Summers has an smooth voice and is a very talented guitarist. All and all the two men make up a chemical called The Helio Sequence, which produces electronic like beats that are catchy and make you want to dance.So if you looking for some new tunes and a great band, check out the Helio Sequence and you will feel magic like no other.
