Only one more day until I get to see Frank Black! I've seen the Pixies twice, but never had the joy of a FB solo show. How exciting!
And now onto the real point of this post. I have a huge hatred of spiders. This was caused by a spiderbite I got when I was a kid that caused my entire back to break out. The event also caused me to be an arachnophobe, which I sort of overcame this year (I'm very proud of myself). Anyhow, the other night, I didn't realize I had one on my back; that is, I didn't realize it was there until it bit me. I proceeded to knock it off and retaliate, and ten minutes later saw that hives were forming around the bite. Eventually they subsided, but how annoying. I still hate spiders.
The video for Gnarls Barkley's cover of "Gone Daddy Gone" came on, and that is what reminded me of this story. I do like Gnarls Barkley's album, and my friends love it. It's my friends' love that disappoints me though, because none of them know that "Gone Daddy Gone" is a cover; in addition, the ones that do know it's a cover have no idea who it's by. As a huge fan of the Violent Femmes, this really disappoints me.
So, I have a question to anybody who reads this: which version of "Gone Daddy Gone" do you like better? - Violent Femmes - Gnarls Barkley - Other (if you know of another artist who covered it, let me know, I'd love to hear it)

Welcome, dig the MOGOS. I don't run the MOG o Matic either, because my computer's too slow to run any sort of music programs like iTunes, but this place is great for the community.
