    Aired November 31, 2007 - 21:00 ET

  • BILL O'REILLY, HOST, THE O'REILLY FACTOR:

Welcome to the "No-Spin Zone"! Our Top Story tonight, the meteoric rise of the website, www.wednesday-music.com. What is wednesday-music.com?

  • JASON, BLOGGER:

WEDNESDAY'S goal is to save the world from bad music and together we will.

  • BO'R:

    Why WEDNESDAY, why now?

  • J:

There is so much great music out there, but so many times it gets overshadowed by what's "not great". By that I mean uncreative and easily digestible songs and things like American Idol and Guitar Hero, because (interrupted)%u2026

  • BO'R:

Hold it, let me get this!?! What kind of sorry excuse for a human being hates American Heroes!?!

  • J:

No. I said, American Idol and Guitar Hero and I love America. Some people prefer the predictability of Top 40 music and American Idol. And, that's cool. WEDNESDAY would probably not appeal to them. Other people%u2026

  • BO'R:

(agitated) Hey, SHUT UP, you're nothing but an Al Franken-stein loving, liberal who hates this country!!!

  • J:

  • BO'R:

Shut your mouth you misinformed do-gooder, you make me sick! You vegetable fuel car driving, supporter of terrorism!

  • J:

    OK. Whatever.

  • BO'R:

How about you stay on the issue!

  • J:

Um, like I was saying, WEDNESDAY exists to create a community interested in good music. The community includes: people that know very little about music, casual fans and audiophiles alike. But at the same time, WEDNESDAY is not necessarily written for aud

  • BO'R:

People interested in change then. Where do you see WEDNESDAY headed?

  • J:

The long term goal of WEDNESDAY is to create a two way dialogue while further strengthening the WEDNESDAY community. To accomplish this, it will be necessary to "open the floor" to the readers, providing them a community to discuss their favorite albums,

  • BO'R:

And how are you growing WEDNESDAY?

  • J:

It a grassroots experiment. (to the camera) The easiest thing for you to do is go to the website and join the weekly mailing list. Also for each person you get to sign up for the list, we send you a really sweet WEDNESDAY pencil in the mail. Also, if you

  • BO'R:

Worthless dreamer, or music revolutionary. We'll let the viewers decide.

  • J:

    (long pause) OK, that's cool.

In 2005 Nick Thornburn (vocals, guitar, keyboard) and Jamie Thompson's (drums) band Islands was born upon the demise of their previous group, the very successful The Unicorns. Since then, they have featured a regularly changing lineup of contributing members: Alex and Sebastian Chow- the 1993 and 1994 World Super N.E.S. Fest champions (I'm not really sure what that means, maybe something to do...

Stockholm's Taken By Trees is the name of Victoria Bergsman's latest solo project, who for eleven years (until 2006) was lead singer of The Concretes. You may recognize The Concretes' song "Say Something New" from the Target commercial. Or maybe not, I don't know how much TV you watch. Before creating Taken By Trees, she collaborated with Peter, Bjorn and John on their infectious, whistle heav...
