THE ELVIS BROTHERS

. I've posted about this band before - http://mog.com/waydutch/blog_post/101299 - but once isn't enough. Got this, their third release on CD awhile ago. . . Originally, back in the late 80's/early 90's I loved these guys first two releases, which I'll post stuff from sometime sooner or later as I now have a CD version of those on a two for as well. Anyway this album is equally fantastic, 14 solid power pop tunes that make for one great album. It's been on heavy rotation in my car's CD player for a few months now and there's not a track I don't like. Red button above is for "Any Old Time" . Here's a video I found on U-tube for I guess what must have been their second single from the album. Strangelove

. video for the first single "Motormouth" is part of my earlier post linked above. . and I'll include another cut or two that really catch my ear in the comments.

I have listened to all five tracks, as I dimly remembered your previous post and, of course, the words power pop always garner my full attention. In order of preference: 1) Ruthy Ann - love it. All the classic power pop elements are here. 2) Strangelove - love that guitar lead - so muscularly melodic. My favorite kind of lead guitar. Great song, too 3) Any Old Time - rockabilly rooted

Ah, hell. I give up on rating. I liked all of them.
