MUSIC SIGNPOSTS ON THE WEB'S LONELY ROAD

I don't care if you're dead, You're gonna out of bed! . Wow, hardly any posts on the MOG about these guys that Rolling Stone once labeled the best bar band ever! Guess one of these days I'll have to try to do more of a bio of them, but for now enjoy this little ditty to start your day. All about being on the road and having been out too late the night before, maybe some of you can relate... .

Love the guitar on this track. Is it Big Al or, judging from the picture you posted, his replacement? NRBQ are very eclectic, to the point that I tend to buy individual tracks instead of albums because, while I appreciate their musicianship, I don't want to listen repeatedly to all of their material. Some of it sticks to the wall, some falls off.

Dermahrk - the guitar on this track is by Johnny Spampinato, Joey's (bass, and some vocals - original member) brother, who replaced Al Anderson after he left the band. They actually have two self-titled albums, just to be confusing I guess, one released in 69 and the other in 99. This song was from the 99 album. . Yes, they do tend to stray across a lot of territory, get a little corny at times, and release certain songs repeatedly... . Here's another cut from the same album with some more of Johnny's guitar work - . Tired of Your Permanent - I'm a gonna straighten you out!
