Since I have this account (I've had it since week 1, when I saw a news item on the Attack of the Show ticker), I should blog. My biggest dilemma with music now concerns seeing an act that has become one of my favorites in recent months. That band is Head Automatica, Glassjaw frontman Daryl Palumbo's pop-oriented project. Except it's not the horrible pop you would hear on top 40. Yes, I know their single "Graduation Day" is on certain media outlets (notably MTV during end credits and the video has made MTV2'a rock countdown....MTV2's rock countdown was shortened to an hour, but Sucker Free is 2? I'd like some equality, because I like hip-hop as much as rock, and why did they change Direct Effect to Sucker Free? And the original Sucker Free format with Tek from Real World Hawaii which was on MTV2's total control or something is now on CMT or some shit.). Listen to their first album, and the new one, aside from Beating Heart Baby and Graduation Day, and you'll find some enjoyable music. The details of the dilemma are such: I'm supposed to move in to my dorm (O'Shaaaaagggg) on the 16th...the same night as the HA concert. HA is playing 10 Minutes away in Norfolk, but I'm going to be at college...5 hours away. You have to make compromises, I suppose.
