New OutKast, and....

I'm not sure what to think. The video for "Idlewild Blues" just premeired, and I had the same feeling as when I watched the lost Chapelle's skits. Something seems missing, and you can't point it out, but the most likely reason is the missing presence of say, Chapelle or Big Boi. In the new video, Andre "3000" Benjamin (remember, he's a serious actor now, like Chris "Ludacris" Bridges) plays his character in the up-coming, oft-delayed "IDLEWILD". Hopefully, the movie gets better reviews than the oft-delayed "In My Mind". Back to the video, where it looks like Andre's "Johnny Vulture" character from the Hey Ya! video went back a few decades and became a blues singer. Dre's attempt at hip-hop blues is something to be experienced, but it lacked the element of rap. What happened to Dre the rapper? Apparently, he's not doing that anymore, preferring to flesh out his career choices and letting Big Boi do all the musical performance (thus the creation of Purple Ribbon All-Stars Label). Watch it, but don't expect to hear rapping.Look for it on YouTube tomorrow.
