  2. Kate says Reminds me to throw on my Temporary Autonomous Zone cd again! I love Bey/Peter Lamborn Wilson/?'s books. I just wish he wasn't so into little boys.

  3. wassonii says Fistula, my pleasure. Kate, Little Boys? I think I know what you mean, but not exactly, so please illuminate. TAZ is a good piece!

  4. Kate says He was an active contributor to the NAMBLA bulletin: http://libcom.org/library/leaving-out-ugly-part-hakim-bey and has been pretty open about paedophilia.

  5. spaceling says Ahhh! So that's what Hakim Bey looks like. He sounds so young on Laswell's TAZ (Temporal Autonomous Zone) album. And why am I not surprised that FS and kate are on this. You guys are so cool. I didn't know about Bey's NAMBLA connection either -- maybe that's why I haven't heard mention of him in a while. Is he now a pariah? I wouldn't be surprised. I will be thinking about this the next time I listen to his essay on Amour Fu (on the TAZ album).

  6. spaceling says Holy crap! What an eye opener... by the way, the author of that piece on Bey/Wilson, Robert Helms, edited (still edits?) an incredible zine that I only knew about from living in Philly back when: Guinea Pig Zero, chronicling the life of human test subjects and their personal essays. Good stuff.

  8. Mike the Knife says Hmmm. I have a mad-on for adults (no matter how talented) who take advantage of children - and as big a hatred for any kind of sexual predator. Consenting teens together or consenting adults? No problemo. That said, Laswell is a fave of mine - and the track is intoxication.

  10. wassonii says yeah. can't say as i'll be purchasing any bey ephemera anytime soon as i don't support said predeliction, but i love coil, so for this one it's all good. mike, the laswell city of lights has lori carlson speaking over an adaptation of the music that bill did.

  13. wassonii says Know Eco, but not this tome. Manythanks for the heads up and link!
