Caught LB with his sick band featuring his wife Joyo Velarde who has pipes from another world. She blew me away with a lot of soul. It hit me kind of hard, or maybe it was the subs that I was standing right next to. It was actually quite funny in fact, they didn't turn the subs on until the 4th song...and when they did...yeah, it felt like a soundwave of feeling up. I was actually worried my iphone was going to crack or something under the tremendous bass.

LB lit it up. He was working the crowd for every last breath and inch of energy that we could provide. I was lucky enough to catch a few shots with my BRAND NEW CAMERA!!! Yeah I broke down and bought a Nikon D90. I got an awesome deal and was stoked. This was the second..er third concert I was working the D90 with. And the night was really special because my wife came with me!!! She normally doesn't enjoy going to some of the concerts that I choose to attend, but she is really into hip hop and was into it. Good times, hopefully not the last.

The ultimate test for the iPhone might be a My Bloody Valentine show...
Thanks for the review! Sounds like it was an intense show!
Glad your camera is working out for you, very cool pics. Do you have any problems with the security people and your camera?
I sometimes go to shows alone, or with friends, or with the bf. Isn't it great when your loved ones are with you? Awww!
Oh man, nice shots. Sounds like a great show. I love LB, he is so off the wall but even on record when his ideas strike me as odd, I can easily tell that he is a real entertainer.
Do you have any Lyrics Born you could post on the dark side????
i love looking at your photos. these are great.
Nice shots, Pat. Do you work with a standard lens that was bundled with the D90? (And where did you get the deal?) I'm curious as to what sort of optical length, ISO setting, aperture, and shutter speed you used on these shots. I'm thinking of moving to DSLR myself, and so I'm very interested in hearing about your experiences in shooting moving targets in low light, such as concerts (since these are technically demanding conditions).
Sweet tune and I love the picts -- especially the second one. Happy you got your wife to go to a show with you, that's always the best.
