I have been listening to this cd quite a bit, and these German indie rockers know whats up. I've been hitting up some of their older stuff and it's just awesome. I have not a clue what they are up to and if they are up for another album. These guys are becoming a favorite of mine.

I would love to hear some of their earlier stuff I understand they were more of a punk band at first. I did recently read somewhere that they recorded another album though under a different name, I think they may have been minus one band member during it's creation so they came up with an alternate name. Don't quote me though, but it's something along those lines.

You can find a preview to their Documentary DVD On | Off the Record here although I'm not sure if it has subtitles or not - at least the preview didn't and that link is the English version ... so who knows - didn't see it on Netflix.
You can subscribe to their newsletter at their official site to see if they ever release anything else.
Also found this review of Neon Golden from the Village Voice:
Not a fraud. That much I'll grant this evolving German unit's career album. There are tunes, and they're nicely melded to a wide assortment of putatively nonmusical sounds. Not pretentious either, though to say anything kinder about Markus Archer's command of English is to make hope a vice. Also, not cold - lukewarm at least. But then what? Not dynamic? Not exciting? Not much fun? Young people who think Kraftwerk were more important than the Ramones are free to satisfy their craving for the neu with this retreat into simplicity. But even Radiohead and Mouse on Mars contain more chaos. And the chaos is still out there. (Grade: B-) - © R. Christgau/Village Voice
I think the stuff is really cool and appreciate this find. Cheers!

That sounds nice. Not bad at all, thanks for the heads up. :)

This is their nth record... they've been around here for ages. Used to make just indie rock without the electronica, which was also great. I've seen them live several times, fantastic band! They are from a smallish town which seems to be brimming with bands and projects, and they've got their hands in most of them.
Here's some stuff from way back (early to mid 90's). Turn the volume WAY UP and get ready for sweet slow headbanging :D
(That Village Voice reviewer should pull his ears out of his ass and/or get a career in insurances...)

My friend's been bugging about this band for a while, but I've never actually listened to 'em before your post... Great stuff! Thanks, Pat!

I'll trust most anything with the "micki seal of approval" - and I'll trust my ears. New to me, but going into regular rotation as of now. Thanks, w.t.c.

Great band!! Their after-metal era reminds me of The American Analog Set. Don't fancy the former staff anyway.
