Totimoshi - In Virgo

These guys and gal are the brand new heavy. I don't think anyone is playing music quite like this. They come from a rich latin background and the influences are well documented throughout their albums. Tony and Meg the masterminds behind this deep heavy sound are capable of making such great walls of sonic force. Their approach is quite similar to the Melvins which they have toured with. Another influence derives from their relationship to frontman Page Hamilton of Helmet who produced Ladron. The combination of the two makes this album focused yet down right sludgey and thick...the brand new heavy.They are currently on tour now supporting Helmet but unfortunately there are no stops on the west coast.

    leftoverking says brand new? four drummers later... one of my totimoshi discs dates back to 1999. their old roadie used to be a mogger here in the early days of mog. in virgo sounds great. thanks for uploading...

    walkingthecow says maybe not so much brand new. i have mysterioso and monoli and yes they do date back...but i just got them! so to me they are brand new. i heard they are still looking for a drummer and i also hear that someone on mog is supposed to try out with them :)

    leftoverking says they go through drummers like spinal tap! i have played a few gigs with them at the bottom of the hill, and in portland with my old band. i'm gonna have to get the new record.
