Back in the day, that song was overplayed to the point of tedium, not when the album came out, but later, when Risky Business became a hit among teens of my generation. Teen boys, anyway. But now that two decades-plus have passed, it sounds fresh again. I remember an interview with Phil back in the mid-1980s in which he noted, as would make sense for a drummer, that he always builds a song starting with the beats. From my current vantage point - or listening point, I suppose - this song almost seems proto-Neptunes.
