While researching a book on my Dad's navy combat activities in the Pacific, I found a reference to this song as his favorite in early 1940. It's a relaxing song with the late 1930's big band sound and sentimental lyrics. Another popular version was performed in 1939 by Bob Crosby---brother of Bing, and not particularly a musician himself---and his band. Junior Mance does this most excellently today.
