Yellowcard - Paper Walls

I've had Yellowcard's latest effort "Paper Walls" on my Zune for sometime now. After giving it an initial listen, it fell into the purgatory of my 80 gig PMP. Once resurrected for another listen several months later, I have not been able to not listen to these latest 11 tracks. With the band's constant evolution, of both sound and roster, it's been hard for Yellowcard to maintain the mainstream appeal they gained with 2003's double platinum record "Ocean Avenue". A much delayed "Lights and Sounds" led the band into a more folky-pop punk realm and unfortunately alienated several of it's Holiister adorned supporters. They have brought back the fun, jumpy feel of Ocean Avenue and employed the epic and dramatic dynamic of "Lights and Sounds". Every tune on this disk is a certified ear worm. Even the somber and somewhat cheesy (yet still chokes me up) "Bobbie" will have you tearfully humming the chorus the next time you pass that tree or diner that reminds you of that love you now speak of in the past tense.Bottomline: Solid album shows these diva punk vets still know how to bring it. Key Tracks:FightingLight Up the SkyFive becomes Four
