- hype from the backside of The Other Half album (Acta, 1968).
Randy Holden did play some incredibly loud guitar with The Other Half before turning the volume way up in his next band, Blue Cheer.
This sounds like a heavier, hornier "Viola Lee Blues", the oft-used springboard for Grateful Dead jams in 1966-'67.

Consider it a compliment to your taste in music that I opted to ignore your reference to the Dead and hit play anyway. Enjoyed it!

The Sons of Adam version of a Love song that Love never officially released, though a rare demo featuring Arthur Lee on vocals exists.
The Sons of Adam featured the early guitar prowess of Randy Holden, who went on to play the song for The Other Half.
Later he joined Blue Cheer but that's another story.
