"Lirpa":http://mog.com/Lirpa posted earlier today about seeing Beirut live, and I must confess my jealousy. ??The Gulag Orkestar?? is one of the best albums released this year, and I'm kicking myself for not making the trip to Seattle to see the performance by Zach Condon (who is basically Beirut with a kickin' back-up band). I highly recommend it if you are a Beirut fan.
So, a treat that I came across today was a new Beirut song, entitled "Elephant Gun":http://bopperenlarme.free.fr/sucreries/Beirut-Elephant_Gun.mp3 from the ??Lon Gisland?? EP. The EP is being included in the UK release of ??The Gulag Orkestar?? and contains 4 new Beirut tracks (lucky f***ing Brits).
