WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

Download Binge Pt II

I can't believe my computer hasn't crashed yet. Here's round 2 of what I stole based on your recommendations:*Ladytron*- Witching Hour (recommended by Viva La Britt)-blows- ehhh -whelming- -I gotta hear that again- -I'm buying it!-I can appreciate this record for what it is, but it's not doing much for me. Electonic is not a favored genre of mine anyway, and this makes me feel like I'm in the 80's. I could barely listen through to the end. I'm kind of bothered by this fact, because so many of you out there like it. Sorry, Viva...*Bonnie "Prince" Billy*- The Letting Go (recommended by 82times & SatisfiedMind614)-blows- -ehhh- -whelming- -I gotta hear that again- I'm buying it!This is good stuff. I dig Will's voice and need to delve into the man's catalogue. Just listen to the hauntingly beautiful "Strange Form of Life":http://tybees.multiply.com/music/item/41 a few times to hear what I'm talking about. It makes me feel like I'm sitting on a grassy hillside overlooking a green valley somewhere in Europe. The woman singing background harmonies throughout ??The Letting Go?? does not feel right at times, but when it works, it freaking ??works??. Theres nothing inherently goundbreaking here, but the Prince has won a new fan. He's got my vote for "Artist I'd like to have on MOG".*The Futureheads*- News & Tributes (recommended by Samthebutcher)-blows- -ehhh- whelming -I gotta hear that again- -I'm buying it!-The first track I heard from ??News & Tributes?? was "Fallout":http://www.ezarchive.com/poptarts/AlbumSpace/2FEG8EGT9B/The+Futureheads+-+Fallout.mp3 and it kicks ass. Maybe it was the pot, but by the 1:00 mark I was HOOKed. I only wish the rest of ??News & Tributes?? sounded this good. It's a fun blast of power pop, yet I find myself itching to hit the "next" button. The harmonies are great, but there's just not much else to hold on to. I'm not over or under, just whelmed.*Next Up*The Black Keys-Magic PotionMartha Wainwright-(eponymous)Soul Coughing-Irresistible BlissI'm still wide open to new recommendations, so lemme have 'em!
