..and I love you.
You know what I mean, that song that makes you uncomfortable if heard in the wrong environment or with the wrong people. There are several songs in my collection that my mother would be ashamed of me for even having. Or liking, for that matter. It is my feeling that sometime an artist is making a truly artistic statement with a "dirty song", while others are only trying to shock us.
That being said, here's a few of my favorite dirty songs:
Fabulous Muscles (mp3) by Xiu Xiu from Fabulous Muscles

Man, this guy Jamie has got some serious issues. Which, of course, is great for his music. In "Fabulous Muscles", he falls for someone who is probably a high school jock, and the jock has apparently kicked his ass a few times. But there's more going on in the lockerroom than the jock wants to admit. You feel bad for Jamie, but hey--at least he's gettin' some, right?
Closer (mp3) by Nine Inch Nails from The Downward Spiral
The obvious choice here. This song never, ever, ever seems to get old. You know the chorus, don't pretend like you don't. I used to get my CD's taken away from me when I was younger, for fear that satan might enter my soul just by listening to them. The Downward Spiral was one of those, but I don't think my mother ever really looked at it, or surely it would've been burned.
Shores of California (mp3) by The Dresden Dolls from Yes, Virginia...
(Props to Swozniak for turning me on to this band). Ok, so it's not that dirty, but this song as well as several other tracks from this album qualify for the "dirty song" title, which is why I included it. Basically, the song is saying, to a universal degree, that all women want romance and all men just want sex. Duh. Hence my favorite line from the song, "The girls are crying and the boys are....," well, I'll let you fill in the blank.
I'm sure I can be easily outMOGged on this one.

You didn't name her specific description of the morning ritual? Fo shame!
Glad you picked it up. Sing is one of my all-time favorite songs.

HA! "First Orgasm" is a dirty, beautiful song. I just like "Shores of California" a lot more. What can I say?

Say you'll buy their eponymous CD next ;)

All their songs are really dirty. My favorite is "Dirty Business", where she says
Shes the kind of girl who leaves out condoms on the bedroom dresser just to remind you of the men she F*@^ed befrore you met her

It's definitely on the list, Swoz.

I was really embarrassed when I had a bunch of folks in my office and Prince's "Darling Nikki" blared from my iPod.

I don't think it's that it's dirty, per se, but that she's comfortable talking about her sexuality in a way few performers are these days. It's kind of refreshing.

The funniest thing about Virginia was that I didn't pick up on most of the lyrics until the third listen or so. When I finally listened closer to them, I was shocked (in the good way). The Dresden Dolls' actually inspired this post.

oh my god, eclectic chick..."darling nikki" is a fun one...i was so young when it came out that i thought he was saying "met her in a hotel lobby master bedroom with a magazine"...AND that he said "the lights went out, and Nikki started to cry"...i'd go around the house singing it and my sister would always tell me to shut up and to NOT sing that song! I didn't know why and she didn't bother to correct me...
tybees, i'd have to add "Nasty Girl" by Vanity6...I remember my sister having the cassette and me always listening to it. I loved the part where Appollonia said "That's right...I need 7 inches or more..."!!! Apparently my mom didn't appreciate the lingerie-clad women on the cover OR the provocative song titles because when she found it she made us throw it out...
