Artist: Album: 5 Years Time (Sun Sun Sun) Track:

See this is my problem, I am just too busy! Well not really but I have decided to start dedicating a bit of time to find a new song that interests me or an artist or a whole album that I really like every other day or perhaps once a week. I will try at first to do it every day, but NO PROMISES!

For my first review I offer to you Noah and The Whale!

This London-based folk-pop band has just bedazzled my ears this evening. Yes, Bedazzled! You will find a blend of up-beat rhythms, charming harmonics, and great modern folk lyrics! The most memorable track, 5 Years Time, on their self titled album, could lift even the dead economy to its feet and start shaking its hips! Hm, too soon?

Well I hope you all enjoy, and hopefully I can develop my review skills as that was kind of weak :P

peace!

After watching the hootie and the blowfish video below I just had to post this classic!

So just listening to some tunes on Pandora and I heard a very interesting voice and key tonality.

The band I was listening to was Destroyer, a project by vancouver man Daniel Bejar.

I love Destroyer. Love love love. My favourite is probably the _Streethawk_ album, but I can't get enough of those god damn lyrics, and Mr. Bejar's enunciation.

screw... on the chemical floors of the dance world

and you'll see why I'll always be a dancer!

Worst live band ever though. Seriously, don't bother. Even Dan Bejar kind of says so.

It's quite possible that if you're not interested in creating cathartic moments for the audience, both you and your audience are fucked, to which I say, "Oh well." No one appreciates a professional anymore. Everyone's a mystic. Which is why I take drunk Jim over acid Jim-- the argument all roads eventually lead to.

Dan Bejar is part of several other bands too-- if you haven't checked out The New Pornographers or Swan Lake, they're worth investigating.

i know Dan, he's a super rad guy. and yup, very awkward on stage. i played in Toronto with him once and he could barely look at the audience... it was one of his very first solo shows though so maybe the raw nerves were understandable...
