This is my first listen of Califone, ever. Roots & Crowns is so good. What's up with this band? How could I have not listened to them before? They have almost as many albums as the Rolling Stones. Which other ones do I get? Thanks Mr. Hyman to turning me on to them by the way.

My Trusted MOGs
I am not sure you can really miss out. They're a real consistent band, as far as I can tell. I hear good things about Roomsound and Quicksand/Cradlesnakes.
And, if I may step in with an actual personal recommendation, I really like the album from Tim Rutili's former band Red Red Meat, There's a Star Above the Manger Tonight.
