BIG UP LS6!! It seems like just yesterday when Sky Larkin was still playing small DIY gigs in Leeds, and then of course that support slot for the Gossip at the Fav in which me and a friend convinced Katie Larkin to let us back stage so we could blag some free swag from Beth Ditto & Co for Ladyfest Leeds. By now, they've toured with Conor Oberst, signed to Wichita, recorded their debut in Seattle and have a massive North American tour lined up in October. To celebrate this epic tour, this Leeds lot is giving away the title track "Smarts" as a free download, inviting ya'll to see them at a show near you. I WOULD go, but shame a Leeds band cant find the time to fit a show in Leeds. =(
Recorded in Wales, this track is probably the hardest, heaviest, tune they've ever done. Sign of a change in direction, perhaps?
