I never understood why so many people see U2 as some kinda guilty pleasure or some people who have no respect for their popularity. I have never heard of this with any other rock band...ever! I've never heard of someone saying, "Oh good, you're a Rolling Stones fan too. I thought I was the only one at this party who was!" Or "You like Led Zeppelin?! You and everyone else! Why don't you be original and find a band instead of having someone tell you to listen to them?!" People think this way with pop not rock... and U2 is not pop... although an album title might tell you otherwise. Perhaps, U2 is popular because they are good and deserve it?! No... can't be that easy, right? Bono has to put spells on his albums to have people like them, right?Rock on!
