Lazy Sunday

It's not really a "lazy" day for me, only in the sense that it's less hectic than most other days. I'm trying to be quiet so I don't wake anyone up, but I'm doing laundry and cleaning the bathrooms and catching up on my e-mail at the same time.

This isn't a lazy song either. It's taken from the debut CD of our latest (and probably last) Canadian Idol, Theo Tams. Despite being a ratings hit, the network that produced the show realized higher ratings with "So You Think You Can Dance Canada" and CI was placed on indefinite hiatus.

Such a shame really. The show introduced us to a lot of talented young performers. None really achieved the level of fame that some American contestants did, but several have carved out decent careers for themselves.

Theo is one who is definitely deserving of success. The CD is a well-crafted collection of up-tempo numbers and thoughtful ballads. And he has a wonderful voice (there was a reason he won the contest). Oh, and like the current American title-holder, Theo is an out gay man.
