Earlier this year, I was complaining that we never seem to have the winters I remember from my childhood. High snowbanks, long cold snaps, the chance to go tobogganing or skate on a frozen pond.Well Cinderfella, my wish appears to have been answered. It started late, but this damn winter doesn't seem to want to stop.The snow just keeps coming, the snowbanks keep growing higher and my patience is wearing thin.I need to listen to happy music now, which is why I dragged out my Polyphonic Spree cds. I first heard them opening for David Bowie on his Reality tour and was really impressed. Their music just seems to ooze "positivity" and the choir is a real hoot to watch, they way they synchronize their head-swinging and arm-waving.Anyway, this is what I need today - an antidote to a winter's day.The picture of downtown Toronto was taken less than an hour ago - see what I mean?
