earlier this year i found this dude on myspace, thoughtless jolly, who recorded this really pretty cover of gym class heroes' "cupid's chokehold." and he's done it again!

at a live show in bristol he played this--a cover of imogen heap's "hide and seek." it's nice to hear such a stripped-down version of a song that felt a little electronic to me in the original version. don't get me wrong, i LOVE that song, but i think thoughtless jolly's version is wonderful. hope you enjoy it!

i've kind of been neglecting my mog...again...but here i am to tell you about my newest favouritest song:

west coast, by coconut records--fronted by none other than jason schwartzman (who was also the drummer for phantom planet).

now...if you've ever seen "i ♥ huckabees" you'll know how wonderful he is. or, if you didn't like that movie, you'll disagree with me.

anyway, this is the first single off coconut records' debut album, nighttiming. and my personal favourite part is where he says "i wish you would have put yourself in my suitcase."

kind of creepy, kind of cute, simultaneously.

That was very pleasant, thank you.

"i wish you would have put yourself in my suitcase" rings a Darjeeling Limited bell, no? :)

i've just found my new anthem...

"nothing came out" perfectly expresses every feeling i have when it comes to boys. every feeling i have had, do have, and will ever have.

it's just so simple and cutesy and scarily accurate. especially this part:

"you're probably holding hands with some skinny pretty girl that likes to talk about bands."

What a supreme motto!!! I hope you will find it in you to forgive this cheeky lad here when he says to you: "Do all those boys suffer from aspermia (or azoospermia)?"

There's an English saying which I find quite inspiring: "You have to kiss a lot of frogs before you find a prince." - I don't if you've heard it before or agree with it.

PS: Again, apologies for the cheekiness ;)
