Bay Area Rap hit Nor-Cal like Grunge hit seattle. Even after Mac Dre was killed his peers and fans rallied to keep his memorey & music alive. While driving down I-71 in K.C. Dre was gunned down in his renta van. The loss was similar to that of Elvis, Hendrix, & Curt Cobain. This album dropped shortly after his death, he recorded this album in tribute to his mentore and child hood friend Michel Robinson aka The Mac, who was also killed, by mistaken identitey in the early 90s. How Ironic !!!To make a long story short, LL Cool J. B.I.G. & even 2Pac couldn't hold this mans mic cord.If your tired of the same NAS, P Diddy, Nelly, ect. and you need something original to keep your love for rap alive I suggest you read about him, download his music, and most of all spread the word. Andre Hicks is the greatest rapper we'll hear in our life time. Sad thing is he had only begun, now only artist like Keak, Yuk, & Mess can fill his shoes. R.I.P.
