I've recently been getting back into Sufjan Stevens. His relaxing, often Christianity-inspired music sort of brings my mindset back to warmer weather... when I first started to get into him last summer. Makes me excited for this summer, for graduation, and for my life to start. But nostalgic at the same time. This is a song that I've always been fond of... but nobody else seemed to like. It's really a nostalgic song. I love that bridge between the two verses toward the beginning of the song. Really makes me think of travelling back in time, to a simpler time....
Anyway, I highly recommend you check this guy out if you haven't already. Musically he is pretty brilliant. And, you atheists, don't worry, his Christian themes can be easily ignored.

ahhh, i'm a huge fan of this song, and like you said, i heard it never really caught on, and for that i'm glad, because this song...listening to it, feels exclusive. sigh so beautiful. this is the way music needs to be. sufjanized. haha.
