Kids Music
My kids LOVE music. We have a dance party nearly every night befroe bed, and between my music collection and now MOG we have nearly limitless music to tap into.
My kids love using the music service -- my 6 year old takes her favorite books and dvds and types in the titles into the player and listens to whatever comes up. Take a look at my last songs played, top artists and top albums on my profile -- they're the reason I'm the top listener of Julie Andrews.
We've been playing lots of but shaking (and couch jumping) playlists from the site. We've listened to tons of soundtracks (Fntastic Mr. Fox being a big winner "boggis, bunce and bean!"). So much fun.
I created a few kid-friendly, non-kids-music playlists to share with others, and they seem to be well-played. My daughter has asked where the music comes from, and I explain about artists and how they make the music and how we built a service to make it avaialble. She then asked about playlists, and asked who created them, and I told her that you did!
She asked -- "will they make one for me?"
I told her I'd ask. What do you say? What songs do you know about that she doesn't that would help fuel her needs for dance parties and reviews.

..and I thought you where Julie Andrews incognito.
A favorite song of mine is Poop in the Potty by Over the Rhine off the For the Kids 3 disc. Love it when unconventional artists play unconventional kids themed songs.
Got me to listening to for the kids too now!
I am always amazed at what my son likes, his current favorite is cousins by the vampire weekend. He is 4 and he can sing the enitre song
Can't wait till my son is at an age to show preference (18 months now) - Rhett Miller once said his 5 year old preferred The Cramps!
Wait till your kids are in the 13-15 year old range (as mine are).
They sing along to Japanese Anime cartoons viewed on their laptop (from sites like Hulu).
;-)
My little guy (3 years old) loves Ladyhawke's Danny & Jenny right now . . . and goes nighty night to the sweet sounds of Corrine Bailey Rae. I used to have dreams about Julie Andrews as a kid after seeing Sound of Music.
