In other Nick Cave News...

Reissues. Normally, it;s just the music nerd in me that is interested in reissues. And this time, er, it's the music nerd in me again that is excited.

These four albums, the first from Nick's post-Birthday Party years are some of my favorites of his entire career until the mid-career Boatman's Call and the most recent Dig!!! Lazarus Dig!!!

Anyway, these album are all essential. It's difficult to describe what an aural buffet these albums are, but to illustrate both fan preference and Nick Cave and his band's preference, he pulled heavily from all except for the cover's album Kicking Against the Pricks on his most recent tour.

The four albums re-relaese are "From Her To Eternity," "The Firstborn Is Dead," "Kicking Against The Pricks" and "Your Funeral… My Trial."

Quite an impressive output for a man so fixated on the American southern literature tradition and an output fueled by an angry heroin addiction.
