I'm not a BIG fan on Good Charlotte. I could actually say I hate them but I won't. This blog is for me to express my view on songs of my choice. And this song; it's simple, it's fun, and it's truthful for any Junior High kid or even High School kid. Btw; if any of you guys would like to talk music with me feel free to contact me. -smile-

LyricsYeah, this song is dedicated (This is Good Charlotte)
To every kid who ever got picked last in gym class (You know what I'm saying, this is for you)
To every kid who never had a date to no school dance (This is for you)
To everyone whose ever been called a freak (Y'all no what I'm saying)
This is for you (What?)
Here we (GC) Here we go
Yeah, uh, what, c'mon (Y'all know what I'm talking about, you all know what I'm saying)
Yeah, what, c'mon, c'mon, c'mon
Here we go, oh oh oh oh oh (C'mon) oh oh oh oh oh (Let's do this) here we go...
Like the time at school when we got free lunch and the cool kids beat us up (Reduced lunch)
And the rich kids had convertibles and we had to ride the bus (Fifty-five)
Like the time we made the baseball team but they still laughed at us (You still suck!)
Like the time that girl broke up with me 'cause I wasn't cool enough
TRICK!
Things...things...here we go
The little things, little things, they always hang around
The little things, little things, they try to break me down
The little things, little things, they just won't go away
The little things, little things, made me who I am today, GO
You wanna hate me now, but I won't stop now
'Cause I can't stop now
Yeah, what (C'mon) what, yeah (What)
c'mon, c'mon, here we go...
Like the time mom went to that institute 'cause she was breaking down (I just can't take it)
Like the car we had that wouldn't start we had to walk to get around (Can I get a ride?)
And that same year on Christmas Eve dad went to the store (Uh, I'll see ya guys later)
We checked his room his things were gone, we didn't see him no more
DICK!
Things...things...here we go
The little things, little things, they always hang around
The little things, little things, they try to break me down
The little things, little things, they just won't go away
The little things, little things, made me who I am today, GO
You wanna hate me now, but I won't stop now
'Cause I can't stop now
What, what, what...here we go...here we go... go...go
The little things, little things, little things, little things, little things,
little things, little things, little things, little things (oh oh oh oh oh),
little things, little things, little things, little things (oh oh oh oh oh),
little things, little things, little things...here we go
Oh oh oh oh oh, oh oh oh oh oh
And it always seems those little things (oh oh oh oh oh),
they take the biggest part of me, break down (oh oh oh oh oh),
I'm breaking down, I'm breaking down...

That's me. :D

Harlem Streets
[Verse 1] Yeah.... Harlem streets stay flooded in white powder Like those mother fuckers runnin' away from the twin towers Gun shots rock the earth like a meteor shower Bowling For Columbine, fair, giving the media power Innocence devoured like a chicken spot snack box Government cocain cooked into ghetto crack rock Corrupt cops false testimony at your arraignment Check to check, constant struggle to make the payments Working your whole life wondering where the day went The subway stays pakced like a multi-cultural slave ship It's rush hour, 2:30 to 8, non stoppin' And people coming home after corporate share croppin And fuck flossin, mothers are trying to feed children But gentrification is kicking them out of their building A generation of babies born without health care Families homeless, thrown the fuck off of the welfare[Hook]
Homicide Harldem, BLAOW!, what's the problem?
Homicide Harldem, BLAOW!, what's the problem?
Homicide Harldem, BLAOW!, what's the problem?
Homicide Harldem, BLAOW!, what's the problem?
It's like Cambodia the killing fields uptown
We live in distress and hang the flag upside down
The sound of conservative politicians on television
People in the hood are blind so they tell us to listen
They vote for us to go to war instantly
But none of their kids serving the infantry
The odds are stacked against us like a casino
Think about it, most of the army is black and latino
And if you can't acknowledge the reality of my words
You just another stupid mother fucker out on the curb
Trying to escape from the ghetto with your ignorant ways
But you can't read history at an illiterate stage
And you can't raise a family on minimum wage
Why the fuck you think most of us are locked in a cage
I give niggaz the truth, cause they pride is indigent
You better off rich and guilty than poor and innocent
But I'm sick of feeling impotent watching the world burn
In the era of apocalypse waiting my turn
I'm a Harlem nigga that's concerned with the future
And if your in my way it'd be an honor to shoot ya
Up root ya with the evil that grows in my people
Making them deceitful, cannibalistic and lethal
But I see through the mentality implanted in us
And I educate my fam about who we should trust
[Hook] Homicide Harldem, BLAOW!, what's the problem? Homicide Harldem, BLAOW!, what's the problem? Homicide Harldem, BLAOW!, what's the problem? Homicide Harldem, BLAOW!, what's the problem?

Obnoxious, can't you tell? Runnin through Little Havana screaming "VIVA FIDEL!"
This is a sad song about a sad reality. I'm not sure, if I like it or not, though I like the instrumentals. I have been talking already in here about the rise of German gangster rap, which I can't stand. Though this is not real gangser rap, I guess. Sometimes the music is part of the problem, if the guys propagate fatalism. He seems to be close to the edge. I'd like to listen to some other tracks of him, just to unterstand to which side he belongs: those who speak out the truth to change something, or those who spread violence, gaining money thereby. I have the impression, he belongs to the first group, but I'm not sure.
Yeah, I thought it was sad too. And I haven't listened to much of his other music. Just kind of a one song deal. But, I have some other songs off his Revolutionary Vol. 2 album on my computer, I just haven't listened to them. Haha, they're titled "Watch out Freestyle." and the other one is a little off the train of Godly words. XD Haha. But heres his myspace if you are in fact interested.
