WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

Week o' rock

Posted over 3 years ago
Saw Mission of Burma last Friday. Awe-inspiring. Some technical gliches, but those guys took 19 years off and returned with a vengence, making a sorry mess of out folks half their age trying to do "indie rock".Scored tickets to see Sonic Youth on thursday night. Not a bad set. Lot's of stuff from the new album, a few off of Daydream Nation, a couple of REALLY early tracks and a couple that I didn't recognize (new songs? not sure...) Anyhoo, I've seen the youth many times over the years, and they still rock. Their latest 3 albums are very consistent and quality.Today, I rocked out myself in lead guitar position for a CD release party for a friends' album of childrens music, Ellen and Matt. And where was the venue? A nursery school of course! Much fun was had, and we got the kids rockin' out.Good week for music, but I'm exhausted. Out.
