MOG MOG

BECAUSE THE WEB MOSTLY SUCKS

Any one heard the new Hot Snakes, Thunder Down Under, yet? Any good?

I LOVE all the HS's releases (as well as Pitchfork, Drive Like Jehu, Rocket From the Crypt...). Bummed to see that HS has broken up this past year.

For some reason I have always liked the band name Rocket From the Crypt (and the fact that they have a sax player) and therefore been mildly interested in hearing their music. Time to add to list!

I was kind of curious about this one, too. That "US Mint" song on the Swami Comp from a couple years ago smoked big time.

What is it, a live album?

All the great bands break up before i see them, it seems. Now I'll have to hang on 20 years for the reunion tour.

It is a live album, taken from a radio set played on air in Australia on their last tour. Some blogger had the tracks up a long time ago, the set is great and well worth picking up. I tried to order the vinyl from Swami the other day, and it was listed as out of stock.

Yeah, I'm in the same boat as far as seeing HS goes. I think I may have even skipped going to see them once around the time of Automatic Midnight. Lets just say I like to make stupid mistakes.
