So, I was strolling through the record shop the other day. Ok, i'm lying. I was strolling through Best Buy the other day, checking out the new releases. I see the latest release from "The Early November". I'm not entirely familair with their work. I just know their over the top, well coreographed video for the song "Hair". I'm not entirely into Emo, but decide to give it a shot. After all, it's a Triple Album...how often do you see that. The CD was $14 , so thats like, $4.66666666666667 per disc, which is damn cheap.
Boy am I glad I took a chance. I listened to the first 2 discs...in the suggested order, and wasn't over the moon about them. I let the 3rd disc settle for a bit. Last night, checked it out, with the advice "Please Listen with Headphones" (No, seriously, it says it right on the disc). It's as if I was transformed into another world. This disc was the essential piece i was missing. It's done in a brilliant storytelling style, a young man talking to a shrink, with gentle music in the background, broken up by musical interludes, telling this guys story. Bravo to this young band from Jersey. I'm gonna give this another listen, and suggest you guys do the same.

Bravo, I really like what I've heard from these guys (including their cover of "The Power of Love" by Huey Lewis). You should check that one out if you haven't heard.

I love the Early November. I just invested in the lastest release on itunes for 9.99... it is a steal of a deal and well worth it. I also have The Room's Too Cold. I have had this cd for several years in burned form thanks to a friend. I used to listen to it everyday at some point. I recently purchased a new copy of it because the old one won't even play anymore. It is amazing.
