MOG MOG

BECAUSE THE WEB MOSTLY SUCKS

UPDATE

I ended up going to the game. They played Rockford and the game ended with a tie: 8 to 8. After the game the senior girls and the coaches and parents gathered. Each girl was called up and the parents went up and hugged their daughter and was given a blue and a white carnation (the east lansing trojan colors).

As we hugged I said, I am missing my concert for this--jokingly and everybody said what? And we told them. Then one mother had to come up to me after and say "Oh I saw The Hold Steady at the Magic Stick last fall. They were really great live." Thanks lady.

Thanks for all your advice or maybe my daughter should thank you. Me, I will close my eyes and pretend I am really there.

Tough one T....you may have missed the show, but you are still in the running for Mom of the year!!

I'm surprised you didn't plant that rose in the other mom's cranium. To echo ivylander's comment from yesterday, I'm surprised and delighted that a dedicated music community such as MOG told you to take care of your family obligations first. If I had a MOG T-shirt, I'd strut around in it proudly. :D

well, we will see if i am still in the running if i get drunk at her graduation party and insist on picking all the music--which i tend to do anyway but i get really bad when i am drinking--and insist on making all her friends listen to The Hold Steady while detailing my sacrifice.

I'm sure your daughter appreciates that you attended her game. And you fully deserve to play some Hold Steady at the party. Maybe you can convert some of her friends :)

Good choice. Although I am sure you could have gone without the other mothers remark.
